Jul 5, 2016 | 12:23 PM

This week marks 12 years since the disappearance of Tamra Keepness from her family’s home in Regina.

On Tuesday, Regina Treaty Status Indian Services is hosting its now-annual Keepness barbecue, which continues to raise awarness about the missing girl.

Keepness was five-years-old when she was last seen at her home in the 1800 block of Ottawa St. on July 5, 2004. She was reported missing the following day.

A ground search soon began in the investigation that remains open today. The Regina Board of Police Commissioners continues to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the girl.
