Caring funeral service provider is right here in North Battleford

May 10, 2017 | 3:27 PM

The staff at Eternal Memories Funeral Service understands losing a loved one can be a difficult time for a family. In order to assist the family, Eternal Memories provides dedicated staff that are professional and caring, along with a funeral home that is well equipped to provide a traditional casket burial or cremation service.

Trevor Watts entered the funeral service industry 20 years ago and his interest soon turned into a passion to assist families at their time of need. He apprenticed in Rosetown where he earned an embalmer/funeral director certificate, graduating in 2002.

He served many years for corporate funeral homes and all the while had a desire to someday own and operate his own funeral service. Trevor saw an opportunity and opened Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium, a locally owned and the first ever crematorium located in North Battleford.

With the facility now in place and a cremator on site, Trevor employed a number of dedicated, understanding and experienced staff to assist with either a traditional or a cremation service. For families that prefer a cremation service, it is now provided in the city of North Battleford. By having the crematorium on site, families of loved ones never leave our care. Everything can be handled under one roof, there is no need to transport deceased individuals to other centres to have the cremation process done.

Trevor states that Eternal Memories Funeral Service offers either traditional burial or cremation service and in either case assists with all legal documents and required reporting. “We are here to help provide whatever the family feels they need or wish. We offer families our assistance as we know this can be a difficult time and experience for many families. Many families who come to us are not certain what to do or where to get information which we can understand. After meeting with the family and learning what service their loved one desired we then try to meet and offer that service with dignity, respect and compassion,” he said.

Trevor is an agent for granite and bronze memorials, giving families choices that are affordable, while providing a professional and dedicated level of service. We also have cremation jewellery, urns, and caskets that families may choose from.

Trevor Watts grew up in North Battleford and is married to Adria and they have two children, Layne and Breanna. Trevor is well known in the community and now Eternal Memories Funeral Service is a proud community supporter. He wanted to offer his community and area a locally owned/family operated funeral service with a crematorium, a service families could not get locally ever before. Trevor also believes in supporting local business in the community.

Trevor encourages people to pre-plan funerals, as it can remove a lot of stress for a family who has lost a loved one. If a person decides and plans for what type of service they want, there will be fewer decisions for the bereaved family to make.

Consultations are free of charge and anyone is welcome to visit Trevor at his North Battleford location at 2741 99 Street and are available Monday thru Friday 9a.m. to 5 p.m. In the event of an emergency, Eternal Memories Funeral Service and Crematorium is always on call at 306-445-7570. There will always be someone to answer the phone, day or night.

Eternal Memories Funeral Service also has funeral home locations in Leask, Canwood, and Blaine Lake.
