Busload of Warman school kids safe after highway collision
A bus driver’s expertise is being commended by the Prairie Spirit School Division after a close call on Highway 16 Wednesday morning.
About 100 Grade 4 students from Warman Elementary School were on their way to Table Mountain near North Battleford for a ski trip on two charter buses, when one of the vehicles was involved in a collision near Borden.
A parent told 650 CKOM the bus was starting to pass a fuel truck when a smaller white truck attempted to slip in between the two vehicles.
“His bus had to choose (the small truck) or the tanker,” the parent said.
