Charges laid in marijuana grow-op bust

Three people have now been formally charged in connection to a drug bust last month in the Marcelin area, in which over 7,000 marijuana plants were seized.

Ming Guang Lin, 35, and Jin Long Liu, 39, have been charged with production of cannabis marijuana, and possession of methamphetamine. Hai Cui, 34, was charged with possession of methamphetamine. All three people are from the Marcelin area.

Blaine Lake RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a total of three search warrants on Sept. 20. In addition to the rural property, a home in the community of Marcelin was searched and various bank, phone records, a cell phone, and a laptop were seized. The third warrant was executed at a residence on Perehudoff Crescent, in Saskatoon. 

No court dates had been set as of Tuesday.
