Dec 24, 2018 | 2:54 PM

SGI spent November highlighting suspended drivers and unregistered vehicles, but people didn’t seem to heed the warning.

According to numbers from SGI’s November traffic spotlight, there was 321 offences for driving while suspended and 804 offences for operating a motor vehicle or trailer without a valid registration.

SGI said that automated licence plate readers in more than 140 law enforcement vehicles has made it easier than ever to spot these type of offences.

The fine for driving an unregistered vehicle is $580. If a person’s driver’s licence is suspended or disqualified, a person can face criminal charges.
