Jan 7, 2019 | 3:08 PM

One man’s alleged driving antics have led to criminal charges after police pursued a vehicle last week.

Last Thursday, officers attempted to stop a stolen 2013 white Dodge pickup truck for excessive speed.

After failing to stop, the driver fled to an area north of Waseca. Police located the truck, which was stuck in a wooded area behind a home.

A man and woman were pursued and apprehended by members of the Saskatchewan Highway Patrol.

Maidstone RCMP assisted the investigation. Dale Starchief, 28, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, flight from police, obstruction, and resisting arrest.

He remains in custody and is set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Feb. 7 for a show cause hearing.

Misty Moosomin, 20, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and flight from police. She remains in custody and is also set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court for a show cause hearing on Jan. 17.
