RCMP have charged an Alberta man after several businesses in Maidstone and North Battleford reported someone paying with counterfeit $100 bills.

A 29-year old man has been charged and released and will appear in North Battleford provincial court.

The RCMP advises retailers to ensure they inspect bills carefully when receiving large denominations.

If anyone is still in possession of a fake bill, they are asked to contact their local detachment.
