Cochin-area murder case going to trial

The case involving a Cochin area man facing a second-degree murder charge is now in the pre-trial stages at Queen's Bench Court in Battleford.

While the Greyhound bus service is no more, North Battleford councillors are considering what will take the terminal's place.

Crews repairing bridge after 'failure' on Hwy 40 crossing outside Battleford

Crews are repairing damage to the crossing over Battle River on Highway 40 just past Telegraph Heights after a "bridge failure" and vehicle collision.

As repairs are made to the west side of the bridge, traffic is limited to one lane, according to the Highway Hotline.

NB blood donor clinic sees steady support

North Battleford resident Jenelle Johnson appeared cheerful when she sat down to give blood at the mobile clinic at the Don Ross Centre earlier this week.

This is her third time giving blood, and she is glad to be able to make the contribution.
