Chamber of Commerce chooses new president

The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce is welcoming a new president to its board.

Entrepreneur and owner of Oil Can Charlie's, Jay Bottomley, agreed to take on the position from outgoing president Brendon Boothman.

Community builder honoured at banquet

The 2015 Battlefords Citizen of the Year sees a lot of potential in the young woman seated next to him at Friday's banquet. 

Kiley Elmer, the Junior Citizen of the Year, is likewise inspired by her counterpart Floyd Anderson.

New NDP candidates enter northwest provincial race

The Battlefords and Cut Knife-Turtleford ridings officially have NDP candidates for the upcoming provincial election.

In the Battlefords riding, local lawyer Rob Feist is throwing his hat into the ring and is running for office.
