The Battlefords North Stars return to action tonight against the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

Silvernagle remains undefeated at Scotties

Make it three straight for Robyn Silvernagle.

The North Battleford rink is off to a hot start at the 2019 Scotties Viterra Women’s Provincial Championships after breaking a tie in the ninth end and hanging on to defeat Penny Barker’s team 5-4 Wednesday afternoon, improving to 3-0.

Tuesday marked just the second regulation loss for the North Stars  since the turn of the calendar to 2019. The team is now 4-2-1 on the month.

North Stars fall 6-0 to Klippers

The Battlefords North Stars fell 6-0 to the Kindersley Klippers Tuesday night at the North Battleford Civic Centre.

With the win, Kindersley leapfrogs the North Stars into the top spot in the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division.

Silvernagle opens Viterra Scotties with win over Mitchell

Robyn Silvernagle's rink is off to a strong start at the 2019 Viterra Scotties women's provincials.

The North Battleford-based rink curled to a 10-1 win over Saskatoon's Jessica Mitchell in the opening afternoon draw after putting up four points in the seventh end.

The Battlefords North Stars will welcome the division-rival Kindersley Klippers to town tonight, with top spot in the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division on the line.

Tuesday night will mark the first game of 2019 for the North Stars at the Civic Centre.

JPII remain undefeated, strike gold in Edmonton

The John Paul II Collegiate junior boys basketball team has once again mined their way to gold, winning the Big Dawg Classic, a tournament held in Edmonton over the weekend, while remaining undefeated in the process.
