Stars fall in OT in rematch with Bombers

In the second game of back-to-backs with the Flin Flon Bombers, the Battlefords North Stars dropped a heartbreaker in overtime, 6-5 the final at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

The officials were busy Friday night in Flin Flon, handing out a combined 158 minutes in penalties between the two teams.

Coming off a 5-2 loss last night to the Flin Flon Bombers, the Battlefords North Stars return to action tonight for their second of back-to-backs against the Bombers this weekend, again taking place at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

The Battlefords North Stars fell 5-2 Friday night to the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

The Battlefords North Stars return to action tonight against the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

Tuesday marked just the second regulation loss for the North Stars  since the turn of the calendar to 2019. The team is now 4-2-1 on the month.

The Battlefords North Stars fell 6-0 to the Kindersley Klippers Tuesday night at the North Battleford Civic Centre.

With the win, Kindersley leapfrogs the North Stars into the top spot in the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division.

North Stars welcome Klippers to town with top spot in division on the line

The Battlefords North Stars will welcome the division-rival Kindersley Klippers to town tonight, with top spot in the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division on the line.

Tuesday night will mark the first game of 2019 for the North Stars at the Civic Centre.

The Battlefords North Stars closed out another perfect weekend showing with a huge 3-2 overtime victory over the Notre Dame Hounds to leapfrog the division-rival Klippers for top spot in the Global Ag. Risk Solutions Division with 56 points.

Stars aim for fourth-straight win in captain’s homecoming

The Battlefords North Stars have won three-straight games heading into Saturday as the team travels to Gull Lake to take on the Division-rival Notre Dame Hounds.

Although not technically a “home game,” Gull Lake is the hometown of North Stars’ captain, defenseman Cody Spagrud.

Friday night provided a playoff-like atmosphere for those inside West Central Events Centre, as the two teams played a tough, physical game throughout the night.
