Stars and Bombers explode for seven goals, nearly 160 penalty minutes

The Battlefords North Stars fell 5-2 Friday night to the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

Cinema construction on track for spring completion

The new four-screen cinema being built in downtown North Battleford is close to completion, with owners expecting it to open either at the end of March or in early April.

Tom Hutchinson, president of Magic Lantern Theatres, said the project is actually ahead of schedule.

The Battlefords North Stars return to action tonight against the Flin Flon Bombers at the Whitney Forum in Flin Flon.

Rooming house project to be ready by April

The Supported Rooming House project that was slated for development in North Battleford is getting closer to completion and should be ready in April.

Battlefords Indian and Métis Friendship Centre (BIMFC) is the lead on the project.

Table Mountain night skiing offers unique activity in the Battlefords

Friday night will bring with it the third night skiing/snowboarding session of the new year at Table Mountain.

Offered Friday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 25 will mark the return of night skiing after the event had to be cancelled last week due to poor weather conditions.
