Young creators encouraged to enter Indigenous Arts and Stories contest

Indigenous youth who have a knack for art and writing and want to get their content out there are welcomed to submit their work for a prestigious national contest.

New book club for teens offered at NB public library

In addition to the North Battleford Public Library hosting it’s monthly adult book club Jan. 28 at 7 p.m., the establishment will also be starting a new teen book club to meet monthly beginning Jan. 29 at 4 p.m.

After a visit by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Scott Moe, La Loche Mayor Robert St. Pierre said he believes both levels of government truly care about moving the community forward.

Friendship Centres to host forums, compile information for report to government

Friendship Centres in the region will hold community forums this week to raise awareness about the issue of gender discrimination and encourage people to apply for their Indian Status card.
