Rooming house project to be ready by April

The Supported Rooming House project that was slated for development in North Battleford is getting closer to completion and should be ready in April.

Battlefords Indian and Métis Friendship Centre (BIMFC) is the lead on the project.

Stall led to fatal plane crash near Arborfield in 2018: TSB

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has released their report on a fatal plane crash near Arborfield last summer.

The report said the Cessna A188B AGtruck operated by Clayton Air Service left Arborfield Airport for crop spraying on the afternoon of July 12, 2018.

Friendship Centres to host forums, compile information for report to government

Friendship Centres in the region will hold community forums this week to raise awareness about the issue of gender discrimination and encourage people to apply for their Indian Status card.

Wounded Warriors will now have lodge for week-long retreats, healing

Veterans, first responders and other service providers with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will now have a permanent place to retreat for healing and support in the summer at Camp Independence.

NB blood donor clinic sees steady support

North Battleford resident Jenelle Johnson appeared cheerful when she sat down to give blood at the mobile clinic at the Don Ross Centre earlier this week.

This is her third time giving blood, and she is glad to be able to make the contribution.
